The major issue in the Balkans at the moment is a lack of jobs. Balkan economies have always been poorer than their western and northern counterparts. They have only prospered when these economies do well, which is not the current case. People in the Balkans are concerned about jobs, health care, the education of their children and pensions. The one country that is doing a bit better is Serbia.
