In the US leisure activities were not effected. Life went on as usual. The only difference were topics of conversation (humor) during picnics or work, or recreation..."anyone see any mushroom clouds yet...?" "No...good, let's go fishing!" If a massive sounding sonic boom hit...folks would sometimes wonder (or look out their windows) to see if their was a mushroom cloud. The loud sounding boom could've been an atomic weapon going off...meaning someone pushed that darn button (the war's on!).

Those who refused to answer questions could have several things happen to them. For one, they could held in contempt, for which there were legal penalties. For another, they could be blacklisted by their profession. They were all blacklisted -- unable to find work, since no-one in Hollywood would hire them; and they were all found guilty of Contempt of Congress, and sentenced to serve between six and twelve months in prison.
all the above

Yes, that is why we are here, to answer questions.
Spell it right and maybe someone will answer it!
Yes, though the site's policy of not providing answers to questions about illegal activities prevents me from going into detail. On a more legal note, you might be able to convince someone else to buy it for you.
