The British Decided to build a fort on French land causeing an uproar. This caused the French to take this fort as well as about 7 others that were built later on. George Washington was also on his way with men to help at the fort, but they were also carrying cannons which made the trip slow. When they got there the French ordered the men back to the colonies with a message. This was one of the wars that sparked the French and Inian War.
