Many things happened in ww2. The main evacuation process was children being sent off to the country side or villages , away from major cites e.g London or Liverpool. Children were sent to train stations and awaited the train. Their mothers and/or fathers would tie a label to there jacket/blouse and it would contain small information about the child. Such as: his/her name , their address , their age and other basic information.
