The US OUT-PRODUCED the Axis Powers in all catagories: Manpower, Airplanes, Warships, Merchant Ships, Tanks, Landing Craft, Trucks, Small Arms, Ammunition, Medical Supplies, Foods, etc. The US OUT-PRODUCED the "Allies" in the same above listed material. When WW2 ended in 1945; the US had so many BRAND NEW airplanes, tanks, and trucks, and artillery...still waiting to be shipped; that they went directly to the "smelters" for re-cycling. In the case of the US Navy, fully serviceable airplanes were dumped "over the side" (dumped overboard) to make room for returning US Fighting Men (Operation Magic Carpet). It had been said during WW2 by a German Serviceman: "When we destroy one allied tank; they replace it with ten more!" From a WW2 Japanese Serviceman: "When we destroy one allied warship; they replace it with ten more!"
