What freedoms did Hitler take away from the people?

Firstly, through propaganda, he created a social distance between the Jewish community and the rest of the German population. After passing the Nuremberg laws, the Jews were placed into ghettos, completely sealed off from the rest of the Germans. Along with the gold star of David sewn to all of their clothing to be visible in public, it became unlawful to hold an establishment as a Jewish person. Then, the construction of work and death camps to which the Jewish people of Germany and neighboring countries were sent to was the final piece that took away any freedom the Jews once held. What problem were the Nazis trying to solve?

The Nazis were trying to solve the problem of having a bad race. Hitler hated Jews, as when he was a failing artist they were rich and he hated them. Other theories are that a surgeon on his mother was a Jew and she dies, and that the art teacher that sent him away was also a Jew. This is why he hated Jews.

Why did Hitler used the Jews as a scapegoat show and did this help him gain support?

Because in Art School his work was judged unsatisfactory by a Jewish person. Hitler found it too difficult to take criticism like a professional artist such as Leonardo Da Vinchi. He thought that that Jewish person was like all Jews...taking away possibility of jobs in Germany in the depression due to the Treaty of Versailles (which placed a HUGE debt on Germany for WW1, though there were only an allie to Austria-Hungary who started it). So in the 1920s and early 30s, he fought for his right to become Fuhrer/Dictator, in 1933 he came to power. Blaming the Jews helped some people realize what they think they should do, so they made new economic businesses (which got them out of the depression) hired no Jews but forced them in the ghettos (which was a horrible thing that had been done) and the Nazis loved Hitler.

Why couldn't the Jewish people claim that they were not Jewish in World War 2?

The German bureaucracy had paperwork that goes back for at least a century that would indicate that a person was Jewish. German birth certificates usually list your family's religion. The Nazis, additionally, made people carry around identification cards showing that they were Jewish. In many instances, the Nazis had more knowledge about Jewish heritage than the Germany citizenry and would go to the houses of Christians who had at least one Jewish grandparent and inform them of their Jewish heritage before carting them away.
