Presumably it came part and parcel with the invention of the atomic bomb. Two atomic bombs, dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, caused Japan to surrender to the United States in World War II, and ended the war in the Pacific. To date, these remain the only times a nuclear bomb has been detonated in an attack against another country, rather than as a test.
Yes, two nuclear bombs were used in warfare during World War II. The United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. It remains the only time nuclear weapons have been used in warfare to date.
Just before sunrise (while still dark) on July 16, 1945.
The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in the year 1941. The exact date was December 7th, 1941 and the United States declared war almost immediately after.

25 May 2009 :) LOL
The Korean War began when North Korea invaded South Korea on June 25th, 1950.
June 25th 1950 I when North Korea Com's crossed the 38th parallel
June 25, 1950 was the first date of the Korean War, and saw South Korea invaded by North Korea.
This is a current events question that cannot properly be answered without a more exacting date. However, the answer is likely North Korea, since that is the only country that had secret nuclear tests at sometime in the last few years.
The currency is called Won 100 Chon = 1 Won since 1959 date
To date the only country to have used nuclear weapons to destroy and kill is the USA North Korea have recently been testing the impact and damage nukes can have on towns and cities and sent a nuke into the air to see exactly how fast it can travel. PS i nuked yo momma
I'm South Korean :). Just to let you know, im not going to state my opinions about North Korea. First, South Korea wasn't invaded by North Korea. It was just one Korea and they weren't divided yet. Before splitting, the Koreans were controlled by the Japanese. After winning the war with the Japanese, the Koreans had another problem. The problem was that Koreans had different belief. The different belief caused them the separate along with the leaders. The South Koreans were Christian and North Koreans were Buddhist. The different belief among the Koreans just got them separated.
Fermium was found by Albert Ghiorso an co-workers in 1952 in the debris from the nuclear test - first thermonuclear bomb experiment - in the Enawetak atoll.
When people talk about nuclear bombs, they are generally in two categories; atomic and thermonuclear. Atomic bombs are like the ones dropped on Japan in 1945.Thermonuclear bombs have never been used in warfare and involve using an atomic bomb to set off an explosion of a thermonuclear bomb, like a hydrogen bomb.IN ADDITION:The Soviet exploded the largest nuclear bomb to date back in 1961. It was a hydrogen bomb which released energy equivalent to 57 megatons of TNT. Compare that to the 15 kilotons of energy released by the first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan during WWII ( 3,800 times more energy released). The name of this device was Tsar Bomba, meaning "king of bombs."
In august 9, 1945, the second nuclear bomb was dropped. Nagasaki was shaken and destroyed by the weapon. This was 3 days after the first one over Hiroshima.
To date, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly known as North Korea, has never been elected to serve on the United Nations Security Council. Lists of countries that have served on the council, and those that have never served, can be found on the website of the United Nations: http://www.un.org/en/sc/members/notelected.shtml
