What is World War 1 Commemorative worth
My name is Harold Stilley and I have a 1928 world war copper medal. I would like to know the value of this medal.
It's not a coin, it's a commemorative token. August von Mackensen was a colonel-general (sort of like a field marshall) in the Imperial German Army during WWI. The inscription translates roughly as "On the battlefield, Christmas 1917" so it clearly is some kind of campaign or service memento. I'm not a token/medal collector, so I can't assign a value. Maybe some of the other Farmers could help - ??
