There were too many countries around the world to name to answer your question. It would be easier to name the communist countries and then you can figure out which countries around the world were not communist countries. These were the communist countries: China, North Korea, The Soviet Union and all its captured countries from World War 2 such as Czecholovakia, Romania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, the Baltic Nations, Lithuania, and others. Later Viet Nam became a communist country when the North Vietnamese defeated South Viet Nam. In the closing days of World War 2, the Soviet Union drove the Japanese out of northern Korea and the USA landed in southern Korea. They agreed the border of the two occupied zones should be roughly the 38th parallel. The two countries are still based on this division.
There were three countries North Korea , South Korea and Japan.
