You had to be 18 to enlist for the British Army in World war II, though some boys who were younger were able to enlist using false documentation.
21 was minimum age to enlist. 45 was upper limit
17, with parental consent. Many US states had only begun issuing birth certificates just a few years before WWI though, so most WWI soldiers did not have one. This made it more or less easy to fib about your age and enlist a little younger.
you had to be dead but being uncle sam is awesome....scott walker for president
The standard age to enlist is 18 years old. If you have parental permission, you can enlist at age 17. Regardless of age, they require you to have a high school degree or its equivalent.
The age of 45 was heard during past conversations.
Yes, there were age requirements but many boys lied, stating that they were older just to get into action.

The Southern army was not as organized as the North. The North had special stations where people could enlist. They also had a set age that you had to be to enlist in the army (without much effect). The South was much less organized. In the South as long as you could hold a rifle you could join the army. There were no booths where you could enlist. To enlist all you had to do is go to a military camp or base of operations and tell them you wanted to fight. Then they would hand you a rifle and some gear and you were off to battle.
As a male volunteer the age to enlist is 17 years and during wartime the age is 16 years. For women to enlist in the Norwegian Military they have to be 18 years of age.
he lied about his age
You can enlist in the US military until the age of 42.
