Other than sometimes turning into large battles, for better or for worse...nothing; Search and destroy missions worked great. Probably the worst thing was going thru the hot boonies (jungles, hills, and swamps) for 1, 2, or more days and finding nobody or nothing...thus making every man feel like he's just wasted his time (getting mosquitoed, snake bitten, rat bitten, thirsty, and sleeping in mud) FOR NOTHING (Meaning a waste of time). On the other hand, not meeting the enemy (making contact) meant nobody got hurt...so that was a good thing.
The Viet War was not a war in which territorial gains were an issue...as they were in WWII (as one example). The strategy for success in Vietnam was to use "attrition" as a way of gaining victory. "Kill them all" (as the slogan went) until the enemy was gone; this was attrition. The tactic used was "searching for them & and then destroying them." Shortened to just "search and destroy."

the pigs went to their slauter
B-17 crews had to complete 25 missions before they were rotated back to the United States. If they elected to they could stay on for 5 more missions to complete 30 missions and not be called back to duty but if they left after 25 missions they could be called back again to the war and would have to complete another 25 missions before they went home again.
my mass willy broke it
In Vietnam the search-and-destroy missions were when US soldiers went into the heart of the Vietnamese countryside searching for the Vietcong, destroying any enemy strongholds, supplies or weapons they found. They often had to avoid traps set up by the Vietcong, such as mines under steps and leaves.
Just went on patrol; anything not identified as "friendly" was shot up.
They are Voyageur 1 & 2 After they did their missions, they went out of our Solar system to Search for Aliens!
That is usually at the end of the film. After every thing went terribly wrong. To prevent further misadventures.

dump her she went wrong
They were launched from Cape Canaveral on the east coast of the state of Florida. The missions went to the Moon.
There where suppose to be 20, but NASA had to cancel 19-20 for an unknown reasson, but the was leaked information that there was an apollo 18 and during that time up in the moon something went terribly wrong.
i think 10 Canadians went to space and 16 missions where done.
I believe that it is. because when they build the missions they started at the bottom and they went up finishing the rest of the missions.
It was Apollo 1 and Apollo 13 that all went wrong.
