When flying both the American and a Military Branch flag together you will always have the American Flag above the Military Flag.
It was Eisenhower who gave the proclamation regarding when to fly the flag at half-staff. Dwight D. Eisenhower was America's 34th President.
1821 - 1835.
Texas
Texas was once owned by France. Texas has been owned by 6 different countries.
It meant half off on tacos. :D trolololol
After the Spanish were pushed out of Mexico on September 16, 1821; the Mexican Republic assumed reign over all of Spain's land that the country recently was pushed out of. So the Mexicans took over, then Texas seceded and became its own republic. After two years, the Texans became a member of The United States.
TEXAS Flag is the only United States (State Flag) that is allowed to fly at equal height as the United States Flag. All other State flags must according to Federal Law fly below the top height of the U.S flag.
Texas flag no doubt i live in Texas i should know
The star that represents Texas is located in the far right vertical column. It is the star that is 2nd from the top. If you draw a rectangle shape with that particular star being on the left side of the rectangle, you will find that the Texas flag will appear within that rectangle. The Texas flag is always flying when a U.S. flag is flying. The Texas flag just happens to blend in to the U.S. flag until you place a rectangle around it. The Texas flag is the only state flag that is allowed to fly within the U.S. Flag.
Yes. But the only flag that can be flown at the same height is the Texas flag. Because it was a republic every other flag is flow below it if it is being flown.such as: st.flags, business flags, army/military flags, ect. --- Actually it is a common misconception, largely born out of Texas pride - that only Texas can fly their flag at the same height as the American Stars n' Stripes. Any state can fly their fly at the same height. There are no special provisions in the US Flag Code. However it is interesting to note that Texas's own Flag Code states that the state flag should either be flown below the U.S. flag if on the same pole or at the same height as the U.S. flag if on separate poles. Vermont and California were also a republic once upon a time.
germany
Only for historical representation purposes, as Texas was a province of Mexico from 1821 until 1836.
Any state flag should be flown below or level with the US Flag, but never above it. If it is on the same level it should be on the right, this includes Texas. The rumor that Texas is the only state that is allowed to fly at level with the US Flag is just that a rumor and an urban myth.
