well it started back in the days with thedinosaurs. it was when the people would run from the monsters ^^ not true at all! it originated in 1591 when people had to get the bulls into the arena.
Each morning from the 7th through the 14th of July, six fighting bulls and six steers run in the encierro during Pamplona's Fiesta de San Fermín.
To honor Navarre's patron saint, San Fermin.
