Russia dropped out of World War I due to the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. The revolution led to the overthrow of the provisional government and the establishment of a communist regime under Vladimir Lenin. In March 1918, the new government signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk with Germany, formally ending Russia's participation in the war.

Effectively the revolution ends Russias' involvement as a beligerant in WW1. Therefore Russia, indirectly, becomes communist because of WW1, but Communist Russia was not part of it, surrendering a massive amount of territory as a result of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.

Communism means a classless stateless society based on production for use. Clearly no country became Communist after WW1, and Communism will have to exist at a global level anyway. Russia became state capitalist.
There were no communist nations in WW1......
He was in WW1 , not in any revolution.
The Communists were a political faction in imperial Russia, until they took over parts of the country in the revolution of 1917. However, Russia had by then already exited WW1.
Not really because Hitler thinks that it was the communist's fault for making Germany lose the the war.
