British -- The "Tiger Shark" was the British name for the American-made Curtis-Wright P-40. The Americans called the P-40 the "Warhawk". The New Zealand flew it and called it the "Kittyhawk". Of course, before the US entered war with Japan, it sent some P-40's to China where they were flown by American pilots in the squadron known as the "Flying Tigers". (Maybe you are confusing this name with "Tiger Shark" as the Flying Tigers painted 'sharks teeth' on the nose of their planes. That is 4 countries. What is amazing to me is that many examples of the P-40 survived the war as compared to other American airplanes. That makes you think that they got too old and were retired but that doesn't seem to be the case as many countries used them.
