James Earl Ray assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. because James did not like the way things were going. He was a white man. He thought whites were perfect and blacks were not. James Earl Ray had a partner with him although his partner did not shoot, James was thrown into prison, where he died .

To tell you the truth,

No one will ever know the real truth behind the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. My opinion is that James Earl Ray didn't like what was going on. He obviously didn't like the fact that minorities (African-Americans, and Hispanics) were going to soon become equivalent to the Whites. In a desperate attempt, he shot Dr. King thinking that it would scare off the minorities into thinking that they will never become equal. I wish James Earl Ray could see us now!!!!
