Because Adolf Hitler wanted it to happen. He himself and his followers convinced themselves that certain peoples were inferior and polluted the Aryan race, which Hitler could not allow.
They sadly didn't just torture them. They tortured AND THEN killed so many innocent people.

Hitler being the worthless coward low life that he was got all the racist people together to get rid of there so called problem and all of Germany went with him all ou they were were murders if anyone thinks they are heros you need a slap in the face it will also never happen again as long as there are freedom loving people and he liked killing Jews

Above is true, but I'm just adding because in school, we're studying WWII and my friend and I have read a lot of books about WWII for the purpoise of knowledge. Hitler committed genocide because he wanted to blame a group of people for all of the things happening, like the Great Depression, and he also didn't like that Germany lost WW1 so he said it was the Jewish people's fault which was wrong in so many ways. Adolf Hitler also wanted to show power over people and he could do anything because he was the dictator of Germany. Hitler also thought mentally challenged people were dumb and weak and like BloodClan in Warriors, he didn't want any room for weakness and traitors.
