Ethan Allen
The Green Mountain boys who captured the British held Fort Ticonderoga were led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold. The Green Mountain Boys were the militia of the Connecticut Colony as well as the Province of Massachusetts Bay.
The Green Mountain Boys were lead by Ethan Allen when they went to capture a New York Fort. The Green Mountain Boys were formed in 1760 and helped the Colonists fight the British.

Ethan Allen fought in the American Revolutionary War as the leader of the Green Mountain Boys militia. It was composed of settlers from modern day Vermont. In the first decisive victory of the war, Allen and his boys took Fort Ticonderoga. The Green Mountain Boys were incorporated into the Continental army and Allen did not see further action.
