Because they were given no choice
In 1939 the German government advised the 900,000 Jews to leave Germany. Hitlers rise to power is because one of his election platforms was to rid the country of the Jewish bailiffs sent to Germany with writ of seizures from the world court to repay the costs of WW1, which the court determined was the responsibility of the German people. The bailiffs were in control of the German financial system, and the German people were virtual slaves. The bailiffs lived as lords. The German people voted to empower Hitler to remove the Jews from Germany because they felt they were being enslaved by the Jewish bailiffs, and were being treated as inferior servants, slaves, and lowpaid hirelings, without any hope for the future
Technically, the Nazis, SS, Ukrainians, and Hungarians carried out the task. Some Jews, called kapos were also collaborators.
All Jews regardless of any status, were killed by the Nazis, with no exceptions. Some were spared temporarily if they were able to be of some use to the Nazis, but in the end the Nazis wanted them all dead. ___ The fact that the Holocaust involved killing some highly qualified people didn't bother the Nazis in the least.
Jews were involved in the holocaust because the Nazi rejected their religion. ___ The Nazis hated the Jews primarily on ethnic or racial, not religious grounds. In fact, it had just about nothing to do with religion. The Nazis saw the Jews as the 'biological root' of Communism. Millions of people were involved in the Holocaust. It affected the lives of almost all Jews in Europe (approximately six million were killed) as well as gypsies, homosexuals, and other minority groups. It was perpetrated by Adolf Hitler, Himmler, the Nazi Party and other Germans, and Europeans in occupied countries who collaborated with the Germans or looked the other way.
The holocaust was when Hitler tried to eliminate the Jews by mass murder and genocide. The cause was antisemitism turned evil.
When the Jews were treated really badly by the Germans, and it was so bad it was called The Holocaust.
To make Germans think the Jews should be executed

Generally it was the way that the Nazis (and the Germans) treated the Jews and arguably treated the Gypsies even worse.

The Danube cuts through a number of countries - Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania. The Germans (Nazis) were the primary people involved in the Holocaust, some citizens in the other countries were also involved .
Germans who did so were risking their life, since the Nazis would kill them if they found out.
Obviously not. Most Germans were civilians that had no part to play in the war or the Holocaust. However, enough Germans were involved to result in 6 million Jewish deaths.
That is correct. The Nazis wanted to establish a super race, and that also involved the extermination of all Jews.
The Holocaust, the attempted extermination of the Jews and other groups deemed "undesirable" by the Nazis, was based on the idea that the Germans were the "master race." In every respect, it was a violent expression of discrimination.
