The number of crew on a plane depends on what type of plane it is. But I would say a good rule of thumb is; there is enough.. Even sometimes too many.
And on a side note, asking questions like this is a great way to get questioned by Homeland Security
A person can visit the pilot on a plane before the plane takes off. Someone can ask to see the pilot before taking off and they can meet them. Many pilots also welcome the passengers onto the plane, so they can be met that way as well.
Not directly, but on many modern jets an equivalent recorder for use by the owner may be accessible by the pilot.

Some planes can, yes. A plane that weighs 12,500 lbs or less, and isn't powered by jet engines, can be flown by one person. There are a very few single-pilot jets, but most jets require two pilots.
Manfred Von Richthofen was the best pilot because he was the only person to through a rock out the window of his plane, hit another plane's engine with it and bring down that plane. That is what made him very famous. Then he went on to shoot down many many planes during the war before he was shot down.
None, if he's lucky. There isn't an 'average' and most pilots never crash a plane.
The air force has many bases where they trained their pilots depending of the plane the pilot is assigned.
Not that many: 6 '(very) probable' cases since 1980. In 4 of them the guilty pilot had shut his co-pilot out of the cockpit. The 6 cases include the recent loss of the Malaysian Airlines flight that has all the signs of one of the pilots deliberately shutting out the other pilot, switching off all communications, turning to a part of the Indian Ocean not covered by radar systems and crashing the plane there. But we may never be sure as the plane and its black boxes may never be found. And of course there is the very recent German Wings-flight.
An American pilot crashed his plane in Gorleston, Norfolk, in 1944. The incident occurred during World War II when many American forces were stationed in the UK. The crash was part of a series of aviation accidents during the war as pilots trained and operated in the region.
Stealth Pilot greatly improved planes. Before: You had to press a green button on the plane with a plane tool (Clickable Buttons didnt exist) , and use U, J, H, K, keys to steer. There were many glitches and planes could be hijacked easily. After: Stealth pilot invented the new plane. You couldn't be hijacked, the controls were easy, and instead of press the U, J, H, K, Keys 50 times to turn left or right, you could just hold down a click on the mouse.
depends on which plane you are flying in a little cessna can easily bin run by only 1 pilot. but for big Boeing 747 there are 4 maybe even 5 pilots in the cabin.
There are many thing that involves a commercial pilot to do such as: —Check routes, plans and the actual plane for the flight. —Piloting the actual plane. —Being able to speak, write and interpret fluent English. —Able to co-op with the time difference. —Being able to fly 12 hour shifts. —Not being late for work. —Having to a be socialist by meeting different people everyday. —Ask and obtain resources and checks for the plane. —Inspection on the plane. —Communicating with air traffic controllers. =)
