The F/A-18 Hornet is a multi-role jet that flies with BOTH the U.S Navy and Marine Corps.
The FA-18E/F (Super Hornet) series has taken over the roles of the F-14D on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.
They are both VERY different. A Navy servicemen is in the Navy. A Marine is in the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is just a department of the Navy.
The U.S. Navy currently fields the F/A-18 C/D Hornet (Fighter) & F/A-18 E/F (Multi-role Fighter) for carrier and land based combat operations. The U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) uses the F-16 Falcon for training. Though the F-35C Lighting II Multi-role Fighter is scheduled for Navy use, it's currently only in service as a training platform, and hasn't yet been deployed for active service in the fleet (assuming they don't cancel the program).
only officers are in marine aviation but there are more enlisted then officers so not many most fighter planes are navy but air force does RC planes and crap

In 1798, the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps were created
All Navy and Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets have ejection seats per Navy regulations. Though the Blue Angels are primarily a demonstration team, their planes are also combat qualified should the need arise.
During the Vietnam War, the US Navy & US Marine Corps had silver/grey colored jet fighters. The USAF painted most of their jets in camoflage.
It depends on the mission requirement (recon, attack, ASW, EW, etc.). For pure air-air and air-ground attack roles, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is currently the Navy's fighter weapon of choice (E is a single seater;F is a 2 seater).
The US Navy and Marine Corps are both parts of the US Navy. Then there's shore establishments, HQ's and Operating units if I'm correct. If you want a more simple answer- The Navy, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and the Marine Corps.
The United States Navy has the biggest fleet of ships in the world. The most man powered navy and the most technological advanced navy in the world.
If you put a Navy Seal in the ring the UFC fighter is better. If you put the UFC fighter on the battlefield the Navy Seal is better... WAY better.
