Secondly, the Centurions had these special 300 gallon steel tanks attached to their sterns...any armored vehicle burning gasoline in wartime would diffinitely need extra fuel tanks. Fortunately, US Patton and Sheridan tanks in Vietnam had diesel engines. We could get about 300 miles on a tank of fuel (alot less than that when moving over rough terrain though).
