Military planes are designed for combat and tactical operations, featuring advanced technology for stealth, speed, and maneuverability, often equipped with weapons systems. In contrast, commercial planes prioritize passenger comfort, efficiency, and safety, focusing on transporting people and cargo over long distances. Additionally, military aircraft may operate in diverse environments and conditions, while commercial planes are optimized for scheduled flights and regulatory compliance. The two also differ significantly in maintenance, operational protocols, and funding sources.
Yes they are. Military planes are used for fighting against targets with bombs and missiles.Commercial planes are used for transporting passengers from airport to airport- continent to continent. Some commercial planes can be converted into military planes for military use and vice-versa.
No they do not. Only military and government planes do this. Commercial airlines will land at an airport to refuel.
Yes but these military planes are flown by navy pilots or military pilots.
Commercial jets do. Military jets normally land on military airports/airfields. An example for such an airport is Edwards Air Force Base.
The majority of commercial planes have curved wings. The only purpose of removing them is for airborne stunts, and as such passenger and cargo planes have no reason not to have curved wings. Military and stunt planes will have wings that are closer to or perfectly flat, depending on the maneuverability needed.
There are many different types of planes aside from the commercial airliners that people use daily to get one from part of the world to another. More specialized airplanes include military helicopters, propeller aircrafts, helicopters, and pusher aircrafts.Commercial and navy are your basic groups of planes. Commuter planes carry a small number of passengers and commercial planes vary in passenger accommodation. Manufacturers like Boeing make commercial planes in all sizes like the Boeing 737 and Boeing 747.
In World War 2 commercial planes were used to transport troops, deliver cargo and move the President to places (and Elinor Roosevelt too). A Presidential plane was developed but I can't remember if it was as early as World War 2. World War 1 planes had not developed enough to have commercial large transport planes yet. The commercial planes also helped to free up the large military transport planes for other uses. The train however was still the main source of mass transportation in that era in the United States.
Yes but these military planes are flown navy pilots or military pilots.
In general, military planes do not have keys. They have a complex starting system that does not require them.
Aircraft take off and land on airstrips. Airstrips are runways aircraft are planes.
The U.S. military.
Passenger planes are used for commercial and transport purposes and they are able able to accomodate many people (at least 100+) while fighter planes are used for fighting in wars and military purposes and they can only accomodate pilots (no passengers at all). They also carry bombs and other military weapons. From this, we can conclude that fighter planes are usually smaller and can fly faster (faster than the speed of sound, calculated in machs) and higher than passenger planes, which means that they have more powerful engines. There are also private jets (passenger planes) which can only accomodate a few people (about 6) and are used for very high-class purposes, e.g. fetching the rich and powerful (the President). Military aircraft carry their oxygen for their crew that is stored in liquid form. Commercial airplanes only carry oxygen in a gas form. Military aircraft, especially Navy jets, are designed to land harder. Their landing gears are stronger than passenger aircraft. Most military aircraft have ejection seats. Most passenger planes, either large or small, will have a cargo hold or a place to carry luggage. Military planes have very little room to carry cargo or luggage. Some military planes will have room to carry a duffle bag for 1 or 2 crew members. Large military cargo and troop carriers will have plenty of space to carry luggage or extra equipment for the troops.
