Interesting question. Actual RPM is not something that is normally used in the cockpit. Rather, RPM is monitored as a percentage of maximum, so rather than seeing a gauge reading 5000 RPM for instance, you would see a gauge reading 50%. Then, too, there are usually 2 or 3 spools (or rotating shafts) on present day jet engines, so you might see 80% N1 and 75% N2 referring to the different spools. As for actual RPM, the JT8D (a very popular engine used on the 727, 737 and DC-9, etc.) has a maximum N1 RPM of 8,600-8,800, and N2 of 12,250 RPM. Sorry for the long answer...
Max rpm / redline (often they are actually different) is not based on the car but on the engine. Prelude S (F22A1 engine) max rpm: 6250-ish Prelude VTEC (H22A engine) Redline: 7200/7600 rpm Max rpm: 7400/8000 rpm Preludes from 92- were delivered with the following engine options F20A, F22A, H23A, H22A.
This engine should redline about 5000 rpm
Max RPM is the term for maximum revolutions per minute of a car engine. Red line is another term for max rpm.
You can calculate the rotation speed (rpm) of a wind turbine by dividing the rotational speed of the generator (usually given in revolutions per minute, or rpm) by the gear ratio of the turbine. The gear ratio is the ratio of the number of teeth on the turbine's gear to the number of teeth on the generator's gear. This formula allows you to determine the turbine's rpm based on the generator's rpm and the gear ratio.
