after the tu-144 the crashed at the Paris Airshow on 3 June 1973 - it caused the image of the plane to be tarnished, therefore, no foreign orders were placed for it.

Internally in the USSR the TU144 was too fast and too prestigious, and too expensive, and a market was never created for it. There were limited flights for it, but it also had a limited range, there were plans to make a Tu-144D which is a Dalneya ( extended . long range ) version with new engines.
