you cannot bake ordinary plasticene clay. what make is the clay? if it is Fimo or Sculpey you can bake it, otherwise be careful or you will end up with toxic fumes!
you can also buy clay called Darwi which dries hard in 24 hours .
No. Modeling clay contains oil that keeps it soft and never hardens. Polymer clay does not have an oil, it hardens when exposed to heat. polymer clays are often called "oven-bake clay"because you can make stuffs such as pendants, brooch, earings and other accesories using polymer clay by baking them in the oven. YES, i said oven. PLEASE be safe and never try to put them in the microwave.
No, Crayola air dry clay should not be baked in an oven as it is designed to dry and harden at room temperature.
no your retarted thats how you make it harder
Hope this helped! No....Polymer Clay and Reg. Clay are not the same. For One Polymer Clay can be 'cured' in your home oven where other clay need either air to dry them or a High Fire Kilm.
Both types of clay are the same. You can use both types of clay to create things. I looked into this and found out that both dry up after a while if you want it to. If you want to paint the clay after it is dry is sort of a mystery to me. I absolutely know that after the crayola air dry clay drys you can definitely paint it. With other types of modeling clay, I am not so sure. I hope this helps.
you can with polymer clay but not with air dry or other kinds
It should be safe to dry clay in a microwave, but it would not be practical. The clay won't get dry at all. Using a regular oven, or just leave the clay on a shelf would be the best bet to dry clay.
yeah i actually just bought it for a school project
It will really depend on the type of clay that you have. Some non drying clays may become hardened if you bake it. However if it is modeling clay it will be impossible to dry it.
To harden Crayola modeling clay, you can bake it in an oven according to the package instructions. This will make your creations more durable and long-lasting.
The American Crew out and Aveda's Grooming Clay is the modelling clay that is smelly and doesn't dry out leaving a waxy feeling on the hand.
Crayola Air Dry Clay is made of natural clay and minerals. It differs from other modeling clays because it does not require baking or firing in a kiln to harden. Instead, it air dries and hardens on its own, making it convenient and easy to use for various art projects.
