It is easy to increase the speed of engines - but the question is why would you want to - most of the engines are way over speed as comes from the factory - all you have to do is change the drive gears (check with Walther's for the gear's in your scale).

How much money are trains trains?

a train train costs around $350,000US for a smaller model, and a bigger model can cost up to $600,000US. Speed upgrades can be around $15,000 and luxury lining can cost around $5,000US.

How long do you have to train to be a model?

You have to train a very long time to be a model. You must practice constantly. And never give up!

If you jump in a moving train will you then end up further back in the train?

No, you will continue to move at the same speed as the train, so you will not end up further back in the train. Your position relative to the train will remain the same.

When you move up a loop does the train speed up or slow down?

It slows down.

How are jet engines and rocket engines the same?

They both contain the same things that both jet and rockets need. They need fire to push it up and horsepower to keep up on speed.

Why is salt water bad for engines?

Salt is highly corrosive and will speed up the rust process.

How does electrical train engine works?

All train engines are electric and work on the polarity changes associated with how the magnets are set up to spin the motor. In the case of a full size train the "trucks" are geared to the steel wheels that receive power from the diesel engine powered generators. As for the model train the tracks are electrified and power the electric engines directly to the wheels and don't use a separate generator per se. Most of the city type light transit use electricfied 3rd rain or overhead lines to power the electric drive "trucks".

Why does a train slow its speed while crossing a bridge?

If you've stood beside the tracks when a train is passing at speed, you might have felt the ground shake with the weight of the train. The faster it goes, the more the ground shakes. To save the bridge from being shook up that much, the train slows down.

What speed do trains travel at?

For short distance travel inside city like subway, possibly not exceed 50 km/h but for long distance train the speed is usually 100 km/hr. The average train max speed depend on model design for specific application. For record, world fastest train (TGV) can speed up to the 574 km/h.

How train speed is affected by air resistance?

Air resistance makes it difficult for the train to go beyond a certain speed, since the engine can no longer keep up with the amount of energy lost due to air resistance.Air resistance makes it difficult for the train to go beyond a certain speed, since the engine can no longer keep up with the amount of energy lost due to air resistance.Air resistance makes it difficult for the train to go beyond a certain speed, since the engine can no longer keep up with the amount of energy lost due to air resistance.Air resistance makes it difficult for the train to go beyond a certain speed, since the engine can no longer keep up with the amount of energy lost due to air resistance.

What might the astronauts use to get up to light speed instead of engines?

Sails that are pushed by light is one concept.

Why does a moving train have so much force?

A moving train has a lot of force because of its large mass and high speed. The force is generated by the train's engine, which converts fuel into energy to propel the train forward. This force allows the train to overcome friction and air resistance to maintain its speed.
