Can you use laminate flooring for a counter top?

Yes. you will need to make sure the exsisting surface is properly prepped to stick good.

ANS 2 - Yes, I have done it many times. De-grease the existing surface with lacquer thinner, use Sta' Put spray adhesive to spray both pieces, then fit together carefully with a helper. Rub firmly on top surface with a cloth to remove air pockets as you lay it . Once an edge or even corner is stuck you can't move it ! Be very careful. - Sta'Put is available at laminate suppliers.

Yes you can. This is a good solution on 'right angle edge' counter tops. Not so easy on rounded form counter top. I've done a few, and first I wash the existing top with lacquer thinner to degrease it. I measure and cut the new top slightly larger if possible (rout those edges later) I use a spray contact adhesive called 'Sta-Put' - available where you buy laminates. There are a few kinds, but I like this best. -It usually takes 2 careful people to lay it on,starting at one end and smoothing it down firmly as you lay it. REMEMBER it sticks firmly as soon as you lay it -NO second chances. -I usually fit wood edging after routing the outer edge.
