ANS 2 - Yes, I have done it many times. De-grease the existing surface with lacquer thinner, use Sta' Put spray adhesive to spray both pieces, then fit together carefully with a helper. Rub firmly on top surface with a cloth to remove air pockets as you lay it . Once an edge or even corner is stuck you can't move it ! Be very careful. - Sta'Put is available at laminate suppliers.
