Passengers on the Mayflower slept on what was called the Gun Deck or 'tween Deck. It was the deck between the upper deck (top of the ship) and the bottom deck (where the cargo hold was), hence the name 'tween deck. The Gun Deck was only about 5.5 feet high, 80 feet long and 24 feet wide, which isn't a lot of room for 102 passengers.
