Rebuilding and restoration requires a lot of labor from mechanics, as well as parts being replaced. Since those of us who wrench for a living do it to make a living, don't expect us to put our time in for free, especially since we don't feel particularly inclined to be so generous when we spend the rest of our time working on vehicles. And definitely don't expect us to pay for your parts out of our own pocket. That's not going to happen. Your only hope is to either get your vehicle on one of those TV shows where they do that sort of thing, or start a GoFundMe account and hope you can make a good enough appeal to get enough money donated to have the work done. My time doesn't come free, and neither does any other mechanic's.
