I downloaded Daemon Tools pro ver. 4.10 and tried to mount .mds file and an error occurs. It shows "Unable to mount image, file not accessible". Is that because .mdf doesn't exict, I only have .mds file.
An MDS file is a metadata file associated with disc images, typically used by software like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools. To use an MDS file, you typically need to have the corresponding MDF file, which contains the actual disc data. You can mount the MDS file using virtual drive software, allowing you to access the contents of the disc image as if it were a physical disc in your drive. Alternatively, some burning software can use MDS files to create physical copies of the disc.
You must first have a mount able file such as a MDF or MDS file.
Put in the disc in your DVD-rom and then click on the drive and once inside it, press "Ctrl + A" which will select all the items on the disc and then press "Ctrl + C" which will copy all the items and then open the drive/foler where you want to paste the game and press "Ctrl + V", this will paste all the files there. You can use Alcohol or Daemon Tools as well for copying a whole disc to your HDD. Just install the software and follow the instructions and there you have it.It will be one file in MDS or MDF format. You can't open it without using Alcohol or Daemon Tools softwares. Okay?

When you burn a CD/DVD, the burning software turns the data into an image file and then adds that image file to your disk. The image files are those having types like .iso, .mdf, .mds, .nrg, etc.
