Hold down button on the remote opener (transmitter) and wait until light flashes on the drive unit and then it's programmed.
I learned the hard way you cannot program a rolling code transmitter and a billion code transmitter to the same unit, what happens in this case is when you clear all the codes by holding down the learn button on the drive unit for 6+ seconds (which clears the codes), then do the programming sequence above for the remotes, (if you have 2 remotes and one is a billion and one is a rolling) only one will program at a time.
