For a 22x24 2-door garage with a gable rafter roof and attic storage, it's taken me and my husband about 70 hours to frame and sheath it using stock lumber (nothing pre-made). We're extremely handy (but not pros) and have every tool you could possibly want for this job, including a framing nailer, a REALLY heavy-duty hammer-drill, and a nice miter saw on a stand. Of course, it might be more like 65 hours if you wanted to eliminate talking with neighbours... a new garage tends to spark a lot of conversations, and ours is on an alley, so we had about a half-dozen interested parties stop by for a chat every day or two!

There really is no definite answer. It depends a lot on whether you are buying the body, frame, and other components yourself or not and your mechanical skill level. It could take months or even years.
