Not enough! I don't know for sure, but the last several years (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) the figure I have seen from several unofficial sources has been 1,600,000. I would assume that about the same # were produced for the 2008. The higher demand was due to it being one of the coolest Hess Truck ever (much better than last years monster truck), and a more aggressive advertising campaign. My local station says they received about 1,200 of them in several shipments. If all of the approximately 1,350 Hess Stations received about the same amount this equates to 1,620,000. Therefore the 1,600,000 # sounds about right to me. Based on this years demand, I am sure they will increase the number for next year.
The hess line of toys are most collected and revered. There are mainly use for display and many models come with the line. Tow trucks, trucks, big wheelers and many additions to that toy like carry on helicopters.

Ford offers many types of trucks, from pick-up trucks to the usual SUV's. My favorite SUV made by for has to be the "Ford Expedition", not the greatest fuel manager but great for big families. If your a heavy construction worker I recommend the "Ford F-150".
None were manufactured in the U.S.A., all 2008-up Challengers are made in Canada

What do you mean by "kinds"? Brands, models, configurations...? In all cases, there's probably far too many to be named practically on this site... pretty much any country with an automotive industry has manufactured heavy trucks, brands have been in business, gone out of business, etc.
