Hi, do you mean how many bundles of shingles would be required for a 40 x 20 roof?
34x64ft rood how many bundles of shingles do I need
8 bundles
i think it should take 7 bundles
standard shingles 11 bundles heavy wt 15 bundles
73 bundles
That depends on the shingles you are using. Shingles are not all bundled in the same quantity different quality comes with different quantities in the bundle. You would need any where from 2 to 5 bundles per square.
If your shingles say they cover 3 bundles to a square ( 10'x10' or 100 sq. ft) then one and a half. Some thicker, heavier shingles are 4 bundles to a square so you'd need 2.
Some asphalt shingles come 3 bundles to a square, and some come 4 bundles to a square. Make sure you know before purchasing.
30 bundles covers 1000sq, you have 960, but you need 4 more for all your end cuts and about 3 for ridge cap,if your using Architectural shingles you will need to buy ridge cap shingles, say 3 bundles. You will also want min 2 bundles extra to save in case of damage down the road. You should get 38 bundles keep 2 and return what you don't use.
To determine how many bundles of shingles are needed to cover 1,950 square feet, you first need to know that one bundle typically covers about 33.3 square feet. Dividing 1,950 by 33.3 gives approximately 58.5 bundles. Since you can't purchase a fraction of a bundle, you would need to round up, so you would need 59 bundles of shingles to cover 1,950 square feet.
A 30x50 roof has 1,500 square feet which is 15 squares. 3 bundles of shingles equals 1 square so you will need about 45 bundles.
Your roof surface area will be about 785 Square feet. So you need 8 squares of shingles.
