Here's how to saw slots in the middle of something without drilling holes first.

It's called a "plunge cut". This particular method works with a sawzall, saber saw, handheld jigsaw, or whatever you want to call it.

You've all learned the drill-holes-for-saw blade technique already in industrial Arts class.

For this plunge cut method, you don't drill any holes.

You just start the saw, rest it on its guard, rock it forward, and BELIEVE!

If your faith is pure and you do it just fast enough the blade doesn't stub its toe and get bent.

In these pix Fungusamungus and myself are cutting slots for a skeg box on a CLC boats "Pax 20" kayak.

The purpose of a plunge bra is to maximize cleavage by having pads and inserts in the bra. They are typically used by females with smaller cup sizes or females that want a low cut look.

What is a plunge?

A plunge bra is one which is very low in the middle, so that it can be worn with low cut V neck tops. They are often padded or pushup styles to maximise the cleavage, especially in smaller cup sizes.

What is the difference between a bra and a plunge bra?

A plunge bra has a lower center gore (the part between the cups) and a deeper neckline, making it suitable for low-cut or plunging necklines. It provides a push-up effect and enhances cleavage. On the other hand, a regular bra has a higher center gore and offers more coverage and support.

What is the difference between a fixed router and a plunge router?

A fixed router is stationary and the depth of the cut is set before routing, while a plunge router allows the bit to be lowered into the material during operation for more flexibility in cutting depth.

What is the best technique for using a plunge cut router bit effectively?

To use a plunge cut router bit effectively, start by setting the desired depth of cut on the router. Securely hold the router with both hands and slowly lower the bit into the material, making sure to keep a steady and even pressure. Move the router in a controlled manner to create the desired cut, and always wear safety goggles and follow proper safety precautions.
