I paid $184 for a Model 26 by the Atlanta Stove Works one a year ago. I did have to drive from the New Jersey Shore to Long Island, New York to pick it up. I purchased a similar but larger model 5 years ago for $100. It is now in daily use in a cabin rental that I own in the Appalachian Mountains in Northeastern Tennessee. My son inherited one with his home he purchased in Maplewood, NJ and had to pay to have it removed from his basement after months of trying to first sell it and then months of trying to give it away. So what is a Atlanta Stove Works Model 26 worth?

The Franklin model stove was produced by Atlanta Stove Works starting in 1908. This stove was designed to resemble the original Franklin stove invented by Benjamin Franklin in the 18th century. It gained popularity for its efficient heating capabilities and distinctive design. The production continued into the mid-20th century as part of the company's offerings.
Atlanta Stove Works is located at 112 Krog Street in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1889, Atlanta Stove Works opened as a pot-belly stove and iron pan factory. The factory was abandoned around 1998, and is now transformed into a mixed-use office development.
To determine the manufacture date of an Atlanta Stove Works wood burning stove, you can check for a serial number or model number typically located on a metal tag or plate on the back or side of the stove. This number can often be cross-referenced with company records or online databases that track production dates. Additionally, examining the design features and components of the stove may provide clues, as certain styles or materials were used in specific time periods. If available, consulting the original owner’s manual or contacting the manufacturer directly can also yield valuable information.
Only if you have a supersized double wide. This is a large stove and requires a lot of setback or firebreaks from the walls and floors.
