It is all about condition. Louis Marx toy company, did not use any particular freight car per set number they were so mass produced that you can see them surface by the hundreds in various conditions ranging in a price range from 1.00 to 25.00, but if you have a complete train set 8994 in mint condition including a mint box with all inserts and all original supplied set parts, track transformer and complete train with mint lithograph, it could fetch up to 300.00 dollars. but i have seen surviving sets in various conditions go for 50.00 to 150.00, in like a c6 condition. that being said it's most valuable if you keep it and enjoy the toy train history that you own. Hope this cleared up you curiosity.

It depends WHICH MArx... Most are Tin, or diecast. The most valuable would be in MINT condition, some of the model Include the TIN friction set (all lithographed multi colored) M10005 set which could have as many as 7 trailing Named City rolling items) also an unusual find is the 1829 engine. Condition is paramount in all cases for Marx trains.
Well, sweetheart, an electric train that's at least 50 years old and in mint condition could fetch you a pretty penny. Depending on the brand, rarity, and demand, you could be looking at anywhere from a couple hundred bucks to a few thousand dollars. But hey, if you've got one collecting dust in your attic, it might be time to cash in!

the only value of Franklin Mint items is the silver value. There is no collectors value for Franklin Mint items. Years ago I had a Franklin Mint gold clad coin group. I was told that the Franklin Mint buy them back any time. They neglect to tell you the items must be in mint shape, untouched and they must have a buyer for your items. Otherwise, the mint does NOT buy items back.
