Wow.... how old is your tongue & groove--

to be honest this would not be a job for a novice.

this job may involve taking all of the slabs off from that side of the wall and re-using them because this would be the easiest way to remedy the problem.

T & G has a Tongue on one side and a Groove on the other side.

When I do T & G I usually start with the "Tongue" facing left.. so when I place my last piece; my last piece may have a groove on the right side flushing into the wall on my right---but sometimes the slab has to be ripped down because the original slab is 4 inches wide but your last space to be filled was only 3 inches wide---and so the right side of that last piece is totally flat now because it was ripped down to accomodate the 3 inch space and does not have a groove on the end anymore. Please keep this in mind as I mention to you that you can probably tap a flat piece of wood strip down along the right side of the last piece placed and perhaps another flat piece of wood strip down along the left side of the first piece placed. I didn't even ask if the T & G was diagonal at a 48 inch height with chair rail, or if it is diagonal from cieling to base, or if its straight to 48 inches with chair rail. There is a lot to be looked at here..as I said; this is not a job for the novice.

Please study How To Videos and you will see the involvement and perhaps you may even see the best way to remedy your situation.
