of kiln dried mahagony,we have done harley cylinders and heads,etc.
it really depends on how many castings will it make before wear,wrp,break etc.
white pine , plywood or mdf is cheap for limited production,remember size plus
draft usually 2 deg,plus shrink,.012 for cast iron.
