Only the first trip of a given boat (or other floating vessel) is its maiden voyage.
It comes from the idea that ships have traditionally been considered female, and that (like a young girl becoming a woman) once 'she' has stepped out into the wider world, there's no going back.
It sunk on its maiden (or first) voyage. The Titanic sank on its first trip across the Atlantic.
The first voyage of any ship is called its maiden voyage.
The Titanic sank on its maiden (first) voyage.
sail, voyage, boat trip, sea trip
A "voyage" is travel on the sea or ocean, a trip by ship or boat.
A voyage?
This was it's maiden voyage, meaning it sank on it's first trip
You could say "Bon voyage", but the literal translation would be something like: "Bonne chance pour ton voyage."
Titanic sadly never completed one trip as whilst on her Maiden Voyage from Southampton to New York she sadly hit an iceberg & sank.
Titanic's final destination for the first leg of her maiden voyage was New York City. Since a maiden voyage technically includes the round-trip, the final destination in that context would have been Southampton, UK.
It was special for the Captain because the Titanic voyage, not only was the maiden voyage, but it was the last voyage he would ever sail as he was planning to retire once he arrived in New York City.
A boat trip is a trip made by a person on a boat or a ship.
