what's the firing order in a nh 550 cc 1983
idle needle runs upward in between the carb intakes (between 2nd and 3rd carb) and has a black plastic thumb knob. Good luck if it hasn't been adjusted in a while because the thumb knobs are usually stripped by now

The idle speed on a 1996 Honda Civic is adjusted using an IACV. The IACV, or idle air control valve, lowers and raises the idle by either being tighten or loosen.

To adjust the idle on a 2005 Honda Civic locate the idle control valve. The IACV and is found near the intake manifold. Open the top of the valve and tighten it to lower the idle or loosen it to raise it.
The Honda B18b1 engine found the many Acura Integras use an idle control valve. Its idle control valve is placed on the intake manifold and uses a flat valve which can be screwed in and out to lower or raise the idle.
If adjusting the idle speed isn't working, check the choke. If that's not it, check the carberator chain. It's a fairly common problem, though the answer usually differs.
On my 1980 Honda CB650 there is a small knob on the right hand side (when you are sitting on the bike) should be under the fuel tank. Turn it in for higher idle and out for lower idle.
