YES! However few of the inexpensive Chinese trikes meet all of EPA, DOT and California CARB (clean air) requirements. Its likely the Chinese trikes meet EPA and DOT requirements or they would (should) not be sold in the US. But these are mostly 48 or 49 state trikes, not 50 state (incl. CA) trikes. In CA I see lots of scooters/motorcycles for sale that people bought cheap somewhere else, and now can't register them for the road at the CA DMV due to no CARB certification. Always make sure a used scooter/motorcycle is already registered in CA before purchase.
Reverse trikes (2 front wheels) are much safer than typical delta (1 front wheel) trikes because of better braking (front wheel(s) brake while rear wheel(s) lift), and braking while turning.
Yes you could, but why,an old Harley Davidson 45 trike, they used them for ice cream carts and meter maids for the police, they had a three speed with reverse, the same transmission can be put on a two wheel bike-motor cycle but why would you want to,the goldwing with the trike kit has reverse also
Depends on Illinois State laws, but where did you see this trike? Sounds like one I built. Would love to see what happened to it. Was it an 03 WR450, using aluminum fat tripples, and Houser Yfz swingarm?

A tadpole trike has two wheels in the front and one wheel in the back, while a delta trike has one wheel in the front and two wheels in the back. This difference in wheel configuration affects the stability, turning radius, and overall handling of the trike.
A trike is considered a motorcycle and requires a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license.
In California, riders of enclosed trikes do not need to wear a helmet if the vehicle is fully enclosed and has a windshield. However, if the trike is not fully enclosed or has an open design similar to a motorcycle, helmet use may be required. It’s always advisable to check local regulations and safety recommendations, as laws can vary by city or county.

because your machine is registered, and insured in AZ, it SHOULD be recognized as being a plated, street legal vehicle. The builder of the snowmobile turned into a reverse trike had to sell it to his brother, have his brother register it in another state as a special vehicle, therefore getting a title, then bring it to the builder and selling it back..lol..where there is a will there is a way.
