No you can't - not if was designed to have one.
what wire do i cut on a cdi box on a schwinn scooter 49.5cc
I just dealt with this problem on a motorcycle. I ended up taking it to the service department of a local dealer. They are equipped to run CDI tests; any reputable service/dealer will be honest with the diagnosis.
Sorry you can't rebuild a CDI box, as a matter of fact you really can't even diagnose it as bad (usually, a few rare bikes have the ability to be tested), you just have to rule out everything else first. Considering Just how much a CDI box costs you DEFINITELY want to confirm that everything else is ok first. The only other way to check the CDI is if you have a friend with THE EXACT SAME BIKE! Try and talk them in to swaping with you, just to see if it'll run. However if there is something on your bike causing the CDI to go bad, be prepared to buy both of you a new CDI. Good Luck.
yes
Ah, the CDI box on a Yamaha Big Bear 350 is usually located near the battery or under the seat. It's a vital part of the ignition system that helps your ATV run smoothly. Just take your time to locate it, and remember, there are no mistakes, just happy little discoveries along the way.
I measured what I thought was the area at Granite Run location and it was 27x44
Or, you can take the vin number to your DMV or PD and have them run it that way.
Yes, for everyone's ears. Additionally some motorcycles will not run as well without the backpressure and can run lean causing engine damage
If a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) unit is broken, the engine may fail to start or run poorly. The CDI unit is responsible for timing the ignition system, so a malfunction can cause misfires, loss of power, or complete engine failure. It is important to replace a faulty CDI unit to restore proper engine function.
A CDI, or Capacitor Discharged Ignition is a system that is linked to the ignition of some petrol engine driven vehicles. Its purpose is to store an electrical charge that is discharged through the ignition coil and thus increases the power to the spark plug/s for a very powerful, high-energy spark. This prevents fouling of the spark plug/s. A CDI can be disconnected in some vehicles and the engine would still run, but with a less powerful spark to the spark plug/s.
