take the baffles out drill the rivet out if mfg. with or take the bolts out.
If it's set up like my 2003 800 classic,you can't take out the baffles without removing the black end plate and cutting the pipe just inside the opening. It's not legal,so you might want to buy an aftermarket system instead.
It takes almost exactly a gallon. Just did my oil change on a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 900. It was just over a gallon, but a gallon worth was good enough.
You can take a LONG steel pointed rod and punch out the baffles. The You don't have to remap or do anything. It sounds slightly louder..a nice sound and the throttle response increased from a ded stop. the baffles are not able to be removed since they're welded in place but you can drill them out or just punch through them.
If you dont know that you should probably not take the test yet. Baffles are used in exchangers they are rings that hold the tubes together. The baffles have holes in them that the tubes pass through to hold them together the baffles also hold your bundle centered in the shell.
