Yes you can but you will have to modify the plate to mount the engine as the mounting area is different and the 550 coupling is higher than the 650. You will also need the rectifier/regulator from the 550, so best to use the550 electrics.

try to look down by the motor mount, i ride a Factory YZF-450 that's wear mine is.
The starter is held on with 2 bolts. To get to it you take off the exhaust manifold, or pull the engine out of the hull.
