There isn't a speedometer cable. There is a speedometer sensor,where it is located I am still trying to find out. On the tranny or in the speedometer or somewhere else?

The speedometer sensor is located on the top of the transmission. It is held on by one bolt. Remove the bolt and gently pull and turn the speedometer sensor and the whole assembly will come out of your transmission. is that on a manual or auto tranny? or is it in the same place for both?

It is an electronic speedometer. the sensor is located on top of the transmission. When I looked into getting a new one for my 89 it was about $80 new.
When those things on my 92 B250 did not work, I replaced the speed sensor located on the transmission tailshaft and that fixed the problems. Hope that helped!
