GL1200 shocks are about 3/4in longer than the GL1100 shocks. Putting them on a 1200 will lower the rear slightly.
I'm not sure about the air connections or the mounting bolt size.
front shocks 0-6 psi..........rear shocks Standard model 0-57 psi.....Interstate and Aspencade 28-57 psi .......There you go.
First, need to know which year. If its 1000, 1100, 1200, 1500, or 1800 ? Drop me a line on my message board.

1980 was the first new version of the Goldwing Interstate. It came with the 1100 engine. That lasted till 1983, then the "84's came out with the 1200, good till 1987, then the 1500's. The 1980 Interstate all dressed cost me just $ 5,000.00 here in Canada, those were the day's.
1100
The number between 1100 and 1200 is 1150. This number falls exactly halfway between 1100 and 1200 on the number line. It can be calculated by finding the average of the two numbers: (1100 + 1200) / 2 = 1150.
The "84 models were 1200"s. The 1100's stopped in '83. On the'83, the choke is on the left side, should be a pull up small round button. On the '84, choke is on left side beside the flasher.
Well, if it is a '84, 1200, then there is a dipstick, with a filler cap beside it. Right side, foot brake side. If it is not an '84, and is an '83, 1100, then there is a small window to look in.
right next to the thermometer
342 = 1156 which is between 1100 and 1200 and is certainly a square number.
