To change the motor on a Craftsman radial arm saw, first, ensure the saw is unplugged for safety. Remove the blade guard and the blade to access the motor. Unscrew the motor mounting bolts and disconnect the motor wiring, taking note of the connections. Install the new motor by reversing the process, securing it with the mounting bolts and reconnecting the wiring before reattaching the blade and guard.

Is there a reset button on the radial arm saw?

Most radial arm saws do not have a dedicated "reset button" like some other power tools. However, if the saw's motor has tripped due to an overload or other issue, you may need to locate and reset a circuit breaker or switch on the motor itself. Always consult the user manual for your specific model for guidance on troubleshooting and resetting any electrical components.

What 5 muscles innervated by the radial nerve?

The radial nerve innervates several muscles in the arm and forearm, including the triceps brachii, anconeus, brachioradialis, extensor carpi radialis longus, and extensor carpi radialis brevis. These muscles are primarily responsible for extending the elbow and wrist, as well as aiding in forearm supination. The radial nerve plays a crucial role in motor function and strength in the posterior compartment of the arm and forearm.

How to fix Craftsman radial arm saw starting problem?

I have no idea how old this question is, but I'm going to post an answer regardless!! If the motor starts up slow, or even runs at a low RPM, it's probably the swith on the motor that kicks in the capacotor start. It's located on the accessory end of the shaft. As the motor speeds up, the points on the switch break and the capacitor kicks off. The switch is screwed to the motor frame, and will pop apart to get to the points and clean them. This will usually correct the problem. You'll have to take the plastic cover off the motor to get to it.
