With the bike on the center stand, oil catch pan under. The oil plug is on the right side, back of engine undereath. Remove the plug, drain the oil, replace plug. Now to the front of the engine. The oil filter is in that round ribbed casing with the bolt in the center. Remove the bolt, the remaining oil will come out. Be careful, there is a spring and washer with the filter in there. In your kit you will get a small "o " ring with a larger one. Replace the o rings as you see them. The spring goes in first then the washer then the filter. On the filter casing there are two outward lines that line up with a boss on the engine. As you tighten the casing make sure the 2 lines center on the boss ( bump ) and tighten. Fill the engine with about 3.2 Liters ( 3.5 U.S. quarts ). Start the engine check for leaks and look in the little site glass near the foot brake pedal. A flash lite will help to see the level. Even better, have someone turn the engine off while you look in the site glass. You will be able to see the oil settle and check its level that way.
If you look at the diff. you will see a drain plug and a re-fill plug. Check with your local dealer for the right oil.
I use Motul 10w40. Check with your local dealer.
